Exciting News — FINALLY!
Nearly three years ago, I quietly launched Completion Designers, an independent aviation interior design studio in Indianapolis. ✈ I’m super grateful to the clients and vendors who have made these first three years some of the most rewarding of my 25+ year career. Thanks for keeping me busy and inspired!
Today, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the Completion Designers website and share a little of our origin story.
In 2021, after decades as an in-house refurbishment designer in some of the aviation industry’s most respected completion centers, I realized that “fitting it in the schedule” had pushed thoughtful, client-centered design to the back of the plane. The industry was awash in beautiful, innovative products. Yet, refurbishment clients (and even we designers!) seemed to see fewer and fewer options, and “personalized design” wasn’t what it used to be.
My vision for Completion Designers was to return to a design-first process that creates time and space for the client, the designer, and a variety of vendors to work together out in the open and on the client’s schedule—serving only the client’s interest.
I wanted to guide my clients through the design process thoughtfully, offer them a wider array of options, and then capture their dream aircraft in accurate production-ready designs and spec sheets they could send to multiple service centers for apples-to-apples quotes. In a nutshell, my goal was to set every refurbishment project up for success from the start.
